GRANT RECIPIENTS

Our sole mission is to provide support for those who have given the greatest sacrifice. Since our founding in 2019, we’ve granted nearly $300,000 in funds to various non-profit organizations that serve military members, veterans, and their families in New York and New Jersey.

In 2023, We proudly supported the following organizations.

Tuesday’s Children provides a lifetime of healing for families who have been forever changed by terrorism, military conflict or mass violence. The organization was formed in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks of Tuesday, September 11, 2001. Their commitment to those affected that day is at the core of who they are and who they serve.

Army Ranger Lead The Way Fund, Inc. is an active duty, casualty assistance, recovery, transition, and veterans organization that provides financial support, beyond what the government and Veterans Affairs can offer to U.S. Army Rangers and the families of those who have died, have been disabled or who are currently serving in harm’s way around the world.

Long Island Cares understands the challenges faced by returning soldiers and their families as troops transition from the front lines to the home front. To help veterans from both Nassau and Suffolk Counties facing financial hardship and food insecurity as they assimilate back into civilian life, they offer several veterans’ service programs.

United Veterans Beacon House provides housing in 52 locations throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties. On any given day, over 550 men, women and children from the tri-state area benefit from programs that address homelessness, physical disabilities, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury, mental health issues and addiction. Non-veterans, too, have access to housing, drug/alcohol addiction services and job skills/readiness development programs.

The Long Island Warriors Hockey Program is a non-profit, volunteer-run program that aims to provide a hockey team for military veterans, active military, reserves, and their family members on Long Island. The team was created to strengthen veteran community engagement and provide veteran camaraderie to return to civilian life.

The Viscardi Center is a non-profit organization that educates, employs, and empowers children, adults, and veterans with disabilities or similar needs, so we can all discover the love of learning, the power of work, the freedom of independent living, and the self-confidence to fulfill our dreams.
